Computer Service Technology
A+, Network & C-Tech
Today computers are essential to the operation of stores, banks, colleges and universities, government agencies, hospitals, factories and many other organizations. There has been a rapid movement in the workplace for computers, software programs, and networking systems.

The Computer Service Technology Program will provide the student with the skills to become an entry-level service technician for the computer industry. Students receive a strong foundation in hardware and operating systems in the areas of repair and maintenance, installing software, and providing network support for computer system users. Completion of this program can lead to A+ certification for hardware and/or network+ and C-Tech Certification.

In the shop, students receive hands-on experience in the proper method of designing, installing, and administering Wide and Local Area Networks, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting personal computers and printers, and using various computer applications prevalent in today's market.

The Computer Service Technology student should have good math, reading and communication skills, be able to follow instructions, and have the ability to work with others.

The course can be taken in its entirety, approximately 1080 clock hours, 5 days a week, including holidays, and vacation time, or can be attended by semester. Network + and C-Tech will meet during the Fall semester. Classes meet from 7:45 a.m. – 10:35 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m., Monday through Friday.
