Construction Technology
The Construction Technology program gives the students a total experience in building theory and practice. The program involves several major stages of residential carpentry.

Students in the Construction Technology program learn about residential construction from the foundation up. In addition to learning the technical skills of building a house, the students will receive instruction in support math and building codes. The construction technology student should like to work outdoors, be in good physical condition, have good manual dexterity, and be able to work off scaffolding and ladders.

  • Measuring System
  • Plans and Building codes
  • Exterior/Interior Wall Finish

    Applied Math
    Appied Communication
    Layout of Building Site
    Roofing
    Door and Window Installation
    Interior Trim
    Landscaping
    Directed Study

The course is nine months in length, approximately 1080 clock hours, 5 days a week, including holidays and vacation time. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. at the Hillyard Technical Center.
