General Information
Financial Aid
Financial Aid is funds awarded to students from resources other than themselves or their families. These resources include, but are not limited to, Federal Title IV Programs, State Programs, private scholarships, agencies and local organizations. The financial aid officer works with students to help them identify their eligibility, determine their actual financial need and provide assistance in paperwork procedures to accomplish the student's receipt of funding. For more information, contact
Connie Myers, Financial Aid Director.
Placement Services
Instructors, the Adult Coordinator, the high school counselor, and the skills lab offer Placement services to students seeking full or part-time jobs. Instructors work to make themselves aware of positions in their field and pass on information to their students. The skills center assists students in developing resumes and learning interviewing skills. As job orders come to the office, the Adult Coordinator and High School Counselor post job possibilities for students and former students. Competencies that are met by students are recorded and are printed out for students to take to job interviews.
For more information, contact Paula Stegeman, Counselor, or Shirley Day, Adult Coordinator.
Vocational Resource Educator
The VRE provides counseling and career guidance for special population students to assist in their educational and training experience. For information, contact Billie Sharp, Vocational Resource Coordinator.
Office Personnel
The Adult Coordinator and High School counselor work as liaisons with sending schools, community agencies and parents to provide coordination of the students' training programs. One-on-one and group counseling is offered by both the Adult Coordinator and High School counselor.
